Our first outing at Silverstone in 2019

We had our first weekend at Silverstone for the year at the HSCC Silverstone International Trophy Results last weekend (18th-19th May). We took 4 cars with us, The Titan MK3/4, Ferrari 308 GTS, Surtees TS11, Merlyn Mk4/6.

The Titan Mk 3/4 was racing in the Formula Ford Series which consisted of 1 qualifying session and 2 races. Greg qualified 16th out of 32 cars going on to bring home places 17th and 16th in the races. Full results can be found here: 2019 HSCC Historic Formula Ford

Gregs first race this year in the Ferrari saw him compete in the HSCC 70’s Sport Car Championship with 1 qualifying session and 1 race. During qualifying greg drove some excellent laps qualifying him in 8th position out of 31 cars and only 0.4 seconds off of Adam Bagnall in the Jaguar E-Type S2 FHC. Unfortuanlty during the race the Ferrari came into some technical problems after 4 laps and had to be retired from the race. The full results can be found here: 2019 HSCC 70’s Road Sports

The Surtees TS11 was having a great weekend in the HSCC XL Aurora with Greg qualifying in 2nd place 1.5 seconds off of Marc Campfield in the Chevron B24. Unfortuanlty there was problems before the race begun so the Surtees and Greg never made it onto the starting grid. Full results can be found here: 2019 HSCC XL Aurora

This weekend saw a British debut for one of our newest cars the Merlyn Mk4/6. Greg shared the drive with our good friend and great drive Colin Ellison. After a good qualifying they were placed 27th on the grid out of 35 cars which was 6th in class. The first race around Silverstone for the Merlyn saw it finish 19th out of 27 cars and 4th in class. This car is one to watch for the future as the results are going to get better and better. The full results can be found here: 2019 HSCC Guards Trophy
