Greg Becomes Masters North American F1 Champion

Greg has just won the Masters North American championship in his Lotus 91 on the back of last year winning the FIA world championship in the Lotus 77 and March 761.

Greg became the only person to win both FIA Masters Pre-1978 World Championship and FIA Masters Post-1978 World Championship then the following year to win The FIA Masters North American championship.

The North American Championship has been a great experience for Greg to get back into the amazing Lotus 91 winning 6 out of 8 races.

In July we raced in Canada twice at the Sommet Des Legendes even in Circuit Mont-Tremblant and got 2 wins out of 2 with 2 fastest laps – Results here

July also saw the weekend at Road America which is one of our favourite tracks in north America. This event saw Greg win 1 race and come 6th in another after car problems – Results here

Race at pre – Monterey. ( won one came 3 rd in other – started from the back !! )

August saw the last 2 races of the USA series with all races in Monterey at the Laguna Seca circuit spread across 2 weekends, the Pre-reunion and the Reunion. The Pre-Reunion weekend saw some of Gregs best racing as he won the first race and then after stalling at the start on the second made his way back through the pack to 3rd – Results Here

The last even of the Series was back in Monterey and Greg Finished the Series the same way he started it with 2 wins – Results here

Over these weekends Greg also raced in the IMSA car ( Group C ) in the Famous March 83G, he won the Class in every race and put in the class fastest laps. 8 Races, 8 Wins, 8 Fastest Laps.
