A few words from the Hampton Downs team

A big THANK YOU to the 2017 NZFMR Competitors, Teams & Families

 It was an honour for the Hampton Downs Motorsport Park team to have you competing in the 2017 New Zealand Festival of Motor Racing.   With 253 entries, the paddock was filled with an incredible array of ‘magic on wheels’, cars from all corners of the globe, steeped in history and running on passion.  

 A massive thanks to you all for being part of the festival, we couldn’t do it without you.  

 A special mention to those who travelled from far and wide, we hope you’ve enjoyed your time in New Zealand and got to see more than a couple racetracks along the way.

 Kenny’s Tribute Dinner on Saturday night was wonderful and a fitting tribute to one of New Zealand’s motorsport darlings!    We had a few words (on the big screen) from the likes of Scott Dixon, Paul Radisich, Brendon Hartley and on the night many more stories were shared from the audience, infact our MC Michael Clark had to sometimes fight to get the microphone back!

 With a little extra word for Titan Historic Racing

 The two seater was fabulous and great to have Team Titan on event. Love the energy and enthusiasm. Don’t stop doing what you love Mr Thornton – all the best for the rest of the year.
