Greg takes a double Podium in Canadian Grand Prix Support Race

The Master Historic tour found themselves in Canada for a couple of weeks where the first stop would be the Canadian Grand Prix weekend. A great event for all Formula One fans as not only do they get to see their favorite F1 drivers but they got to see the fantastic historic F1 cars of years gone by.

Qualifying went well for Greg in the Lotus 91 as he took second spot on the grid. The first race came along quickly at the end of a busy first day, the first lap was going well with Greg keeping close to race leader Jean-Michel Martin until he went off the track at turn 13 and the red flags got waved to give them time to clear the car from the track. When the race restarted on lap 10 Greg was in the lead and he wasn’t going to give it up even though World Motorbike Champion, Eddie Lawson was keeping up and pushing him to the limit. Greg kept his nerve and took the chequered flag to that his first podium of the weekend.

Greg started racing two in pole position and was determined to hold on to the win and his second win of the weekend, however Katsu Kubota his Lotus team mate had other ideas as he over took Greg in the first corner of lap 4. Greg and Katsu stayed nose to tail all the way through the rest of the race with Katsu taking the win.

Overall a great weekend for Greg with a 1st and 2nd finish. We also had the chance to meet Valarie Chiasson who is a racing driver who is currently racing in the Porsche Cup Canada and Nissan Cup this year to find out more about Valarie Chiasson you can visit here website here.
